Herman Bruno Mocek, 88, entered into eternal rest June 10, 2017 surrounded by his family after a long battle with illness.



Herman was born in Marlin, TX to John and Vecke Mocek. He was the oldest of 3 sons. Herman served in the army during the Korean War. He moved to Fort Worth where he began a long career in electronics. In the early seventies he became the owner of Mocek’s Curtis Mathes TV in Arlington, TX; along with, several other locations in the Metroplex where he worked with his family until retirement. Herman Bruno Mocek, 88, entered into eternal rest June 10, 2017 surrounded by his family after a long battle with illness.



Herman was born in Marlin, TX to John and Vecke Mocek. He was the oldest of 3 sons. Herman served in the army during the Korean War. He moved to Fort Worth where he began a long career in electronics. In the early seventies he became the owner of Mocek’s Curtis Mathes TV in Arlington, TX; along with, several other locations in the Metroplex where he worked with his family until retirement. Herman enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golf. He had a quick wit and will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.



Herman is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Elizabeth Mocek; son, Don Mocek (Cyndi); daughter, Judy Gray (Roger); granddaughters, Jordan Gray-Skouby (Robert), Kaitlan Gray, Lauren Mocek, and Meagan Mocek; brother, John Mocek (Elizabeth) of Waco; and numerous nieces and nephews.
